Far too many riders out there think these laws won't affect them.  Bad new folks, they do and they will.  We no longer have the luxury of thinking someone else will step up and do the hard yards on behalf of everyone.  Its time for each and every rider to get their hands dirty.  Every little bit helps, plus knowing there are a considerable number of people standing shoulder to shoulder is a confidence boost to us and a concern to the others.  So to those who have been reluctant to step up or have been sitting on the fence, now is a good time to get involved.

Now more than ever is the time to join your local UMCs. the Govts are working on draft legislation that will affect ALL bike riders. they will legislate for protective clothing, power limits, engine capacity limits, zero alcohol and front number plates and or digital vehicle recognition plates or chips. the govts will not consult motorcycle groups and are generally working off insurance company statistics ,which are inflated to justify the increasing insurance costs. so if you want to be riding around on a bike fitted with airbags, wearing your dayglo pink vest with yellow flashing lights all over your  restricted performance bike, paying thousands of dollars a year rego and insurance, sit back and pretend it wont happen to you and dont support the UMCs.that are fighting for ALL riders rights, dont fucken bleat when the shit hits the fan. and if you think this is scare tactics YOUR RIGHT,its gonna happen and its gonna happen real soon if we dont fight these ignorant fucken shiny arse govt spastics that are happy to walk all over us in the name of "road safety",we are all gonna be scooter jockeys, cos thats all we will be allowed to ride. if you need to research wot i have just said ,checkout the federal govt road safety initiatives for motorcycles.  read it and weep cos its happening NOW.

there is huge pressure to bring in a digital identification system for bikes. several private companies are trialling a system now. it will involve a gadget fixed to your bike that will identify you and your bike,it will be trackable and it will have a down loadable memory and will have a police/speed camera system that WILL identify you in speed/redlight cameras etc.  we are hearing that it will be in force by the end of the year in Qld cvlosely followed by other states.

its all about revenue.  also NSW govt has called for an inquiry into Motorcycle safety and has called for submissiions into ways to improve m/c safety, among the issues to be looked at is m/c identification chips etc. Qld safety council has recommended the govt impliment the European safety standard for motorcycle clothing,so we can all look forard to sitting at the traffic lights in 30 plus degree summer heat in fur lined ,padded  dayglo jackets and leather pants, heavy duty gloves and full face helmets, being as how there is a big push to ban open face helmets. Another recommendation is all bikes be fitted with a pulsing headlight beam and a flashing or pulsing rear light. gonna be all bikes will look like a fucken 70s disco.

I would be interested to see some straight figures on how many motorcycle accidents involve another vehicle....I would suspect most fatal ones do. I dont see much evidence of making car drivers more aware of motorcyclists. All these safety standards are just legislating against a minority. I guess they figure our vote is expendable >:(
These people who draft these proposals....who the fuck are they? Are they motorcyclists? Are they in the motorcycle industry? Are the panels made up to evenly represent the motorcyclist? All part of the plan to eradicate motorcyclists eh >:(
